Three Rosettes to seven new restaurants

The AA has awarded seven new restaurants its coveted Three Rosette status, with five of the recipients located outside London.

Announced twice a year, the AA awards three Rosettes to, “Outstanding restaurants that achieve standards that demand recognition well beyond their local area. The cooking is underpinned by the selection and sympathetic treatment of the highest quality ingredients.”

AA Hotel Services Manager Simon Numphud said: "We are delighted to recognise seven new establishments with the achievement of three AA Rosettes. All have demonstrated a high level of consistency and accuracy in the overall cooking standards that our inspection team have experienced.  I am delighted that these very deserving restaurants have been acknowledged for their efforts."

Among the seven was the second Hakkasan restaurant in Mayfair, Tuddenham Mill in Newmarket and Scotland’s rising star, Mark Greenway, with his eponymous restaurant in Edinburgh. Open less than a year, Greenaway has already received a number of awards and outstanding reviews for his modern style of cooking with a traditional twist.
