Shropshire Food Enterprise Park’s New Development

Shropshire County Council have unveiled plans for a pioneering new incubator centre for food and drink companies at Shropshire Food Enterprise Park which will be the first in a network of similar centres to be developed across the West Midlands.

The food park is a joint venture promoted by Advantage West Midlands (AWM) in association with Shropshire County Council. AWM, which owns the Shropshire Food Enterprise Park site, will provide around £4.7million towards the development and the management of the centre new centre.

The site will be specifically allocated for food and drink related businesses, which includes food production, processing and distribution and is to include workspace for around 12 start-up companies in purpose-built, high specification units for a maximum occupancy period of three years. The park is due to be completed in September 2008.
