Pavillon France Goes Digital

By the time Anuga 2013 opens its doors, from October 5th to 9th, professional visitors to Pavillon France will already be fully prepared. They will have located their favourite products, and selected suitable appointment times with the relevant stands. 185 exhibitors drawn  from all the French regions are gathering this year under the “Simply Digital – Pavillon France by Sopexa” umbrella, showcasing their extensive range of food products across 7 exhibition halls, while simultaneously engaging visitors in an intelligent virtual campaign to raise awareness and provide information. This can be accessed in advance through the new app and QR codes, but will also be available throughout the event via a virtual storefront (Hall 10.2, stand F038).

This brand new app “à la française” is specially designed to whet the appetites of prospective visitors to Anuga 2013.

The ”Pavillon France by Sopexa” app is available as a free download for all major Smartphones and tablets, from the App Store, Android Market and Windows Marketplace; it is a carefully-thought-out, easy-to-use tool specially designed for industry professionals. For the first time ever, visitors to Anuga 2013 can use the familiar “Bon Appétit” logo to gain direct access to all the latest news in catering, distribution and the agrifoods industries via the app; animated graphics will guide attendees through the various exhibition halls to their desired destinations, leading them to producers and suppliers from all four corners of France. Before the show even begins, visitors can request, collect and save a wide range of relevant information, from floor maps through to detailed product data. The app can also suggest potentially useful new contacts, while a range of push functions (activation optional) keeps users up to date with the latest in-show events, and guides them to the relevant exhibitor stands. All in all, this is a highly useful professional tool, free to download, effectively helping buyers and visitors to find the products and stands which are appropriate to them, and to plan their own personalised in-show schedule.

This virtual storefront will be on display at Anuga 13 (Hall 10.2 stand F038), giving visitors rapid access to detailed information about the French exhibitors’ key products. It features a floor map giving the locations of any stands the attendee wishes to visit, and shares reliable information about products and producers. This information is also freely available via the QR codes located on participating stands. And so that visitors can make their own judgements about the wide range of foods France has to offer, everyone is invited to sample some of the key products at the adjacent bar, overseen by chef Nicolas Bonfils.  So not only does a visit to the French Pavilion promise to meet the high gastronomic standards you would expect, it will also be simple to plan in advance, with well-managed scheduling, personalised route-planning and access to all the data you need to inform your decisions.
