Hrishikesh desai to head cookery school

A cookery school at country house Hotel Luckham Park in Wiltshire is to opened this autumn. Former Roux Scholar and National Chef of the Year, Hrishikesh Desai, will head the school up. Featuring a kitchen with six cooking stations for up to 12 guests, the school will be located in a small house on the five-acre Luckham Park estate. Overseen by Desai and Hywel Jones, the hotel’s Michelin-starred executive chef; the school will offer 26 different courses such as “Michelin Starred Cooking at home”, “Indian Street Food”, “Health is Wealth” and “Perfect Afternoon Tea”. Desai said, “Indian cuisine is my background and this will be the strength of the school. We will have a regional Indian Cooking course in four different segments and it will include unknown cuisines such as Wazwaan from Kashmir, which I’m keen to introduce in the UK”.  The one-day course will start from £175 per person. This includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments, and will run daily from Monday to Friday during traditional working hours.
