Feasting in Bath

The table is being set to welcome some of the country's top chefs to the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath this autumn, as it prepares for its month long food festival, The Great Bath Feast.

Throughout October there will be a varied programme with a celebrity line up that reads like a who's who of gastronomy including Bath born and bred Mary Berry launching her new autobiography, Hrishikesh Desai, Angela Hartnett, Nathan Outlaw, Jenny Chandler, Michael Caines, Sally Butcher and Rachel Khoo.

More feastival than festival the culinary calendar will get locals and visitors eating and drinking and enjoying all that the city has to offer with taste trails and chef's demonstrations; street food parties and supper clubs; wine tastings and tutorials; brewery visits and baking tips; a gathering of the nation's top cheese makers; high profile guest chefs and celebrity book signings. It's a great opportunity to indulge and enjoy food and drink in a city which has been offering hospitality for hundreds of years.

Organised by Bath Tourism Plus and the Business Improvement District (BID) to celebrate the region's local produce, the programme for the festival continues to grow with many names to be added to the increasing list of events - updated details of which can be found on www.greatbathfeast.co.uk
