Curry King Launches Care For A Curry Campaign

Curry King, Charan Gill MBE, has launched the Care For A Curry? Campaign as a new way of raising money for victims of dementia in Scotland. The new fundraising initiative from leading dementia charity, Alzheimer Scotland, is scheduled for launch on 15 May with an evening of fine Indian dining at the Quay complex in Musselburgh. The event hopes to see funds raised for the cost of specialist dementia nurses.

However, Charan has already got the campaign underway at the Curry Karaoke Club, here he announced that he himself has sponsored two dementia nurses at a cost of £500 each which is enough to fund an entire week of dementia care.

For Charan, this is a small price to pay for a worthy cause. Said he, “I’ve always admired the good work undertaken by Alzheimer Scotland. The message is simple – keep your brain tickin’ with Jalfrezi chicken!”
