Chez Mumtaj Wins Two AA Rosettes

Chez Mumtaj, the fine dining French-Asian restaurant in St Albans, has been awarded a coveted two AA Rosettes.

This is not the first time that the restaurant’s talented owner and executive chef Chad Rahman has won an accolade, having been cited by The Independent newspaper as one of the UK’s best Asian restaurants along with being selected by Harden’s and won at the British Curry Awards.

“I’m truly overjoyed,” said Rahman, on hearing that he’d been awarded the Rosettes. “I really couldn’t believe it. Even to get one Rosette is great, but to then be given two, has just left so ecstatic and surprised. My team and I have worked very hard to gain such recognition and not only want to thank the AA for this, but also to the public and all my customers who have been so supportive and appreciative of my cooking.

A passionate advocate of refined and progressive cooking, Rahman’s menu is underlined by notable Indo-French and pan-Asian flavours infused with subtle spicing, and presentation, which is cutting edge and eye-catching.

“The AA Rosettes are not only a great honour, stated Rahman, “but have made me even more determined to strive for even better standards and pushing the boundaries further in what I can achieve and present to my customers.”
