Aagrah To Launch Multi Million Pound Conference Banqueting Suite

A £3million state-of-the art conference, exhibition and banqueting centre is to be built by the Aagrah Group, one of Yorkshire’s top restaurant companies, bringing with it 50 new jobs.

The Aagrah Group, which has 11 restaurants across West, South and North Yorkshire, is building on its reputation with a development - the first of its kind by a Yorkshire company. Set in 1.6 acres in Gallagher  Leisure  Park, Dick Lane, Pudsey, the 20,000sq ft Midpoint Suite (Leeds Bradford) is a modern, high-specification building, incorporating the Bradford-based group’s Pudsey restaurant, which is relocating. Up to 275 covers can be served in the new, contemporary, surroundings.

The hub of the building, Midpoint Suite, spells a new direction for the group with banqueting and conference facilities for up to 420 guests.

A  VIP room with a private balcony caters for special guests visiting the first floor suite, which also has its own kitchen, bar and lounge area.  There will also be facilities for eating al-fresco, an outside grill cooking area and a landscaped Mughal garden crafted from specially-imported paving stones from  India. On site parking for 100 cars will also be provided.

At the forefront of this ambitious project, due for completion next February, is the Aagrah Group’s chairman Mohammed Sabir and managing director Mohammed Aslam. Speaking from the company headquarters in Saltaire Road, Shipley, he said: “This is the first purpose-built conference centre by a Yorkshire company. It really will offer something new and unique and we’re looking forward to getting it up and running.”
