The biggest industry show was back at the Olympia, London, from 19th-21st September, but this year it was an extraordinary experience. Since the merger between William Reed and TRG in June, The Restaurant Show and Restaurant Live has become the biggest hospitality trade event in the UK

Cyrus Todiwala wins at the Cateys
Cyrus Todiwala, Chief Executive of Parsee restaurant and two Café Spice Namastes in London, received the Education and Training Award for 2005, sponsored by Portfolio at the 22nd Annual Caterer and Hotelkeeper Awards, also known as Cateys. The awards were held at Le Méridien Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Tuesday 5th July.

The Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2005
Now in their sixth year, the Asian Women of Achievement Awards, in association with Lloyds TSB, were set up by Pinky Lilani and Munir Samji to recognise all levels of achievement made by Asian women in the UK. A star-studded awards ceremony was held on Thursday 26th May 2005 at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

Curry Festival Celebrates its Fifth Year
The Banglatown International Curry Festival celebrated its fifth year in 2005. Beginning on 11th September and continuing for two weeks, the festival was a celebration of everything that Banglatown has to offer and gave visitors an opportunity to try the delicious food offerings available.
