chillipickleeventOne of Brighton’s finest and distinctive restaurants, The Chilli Pickle, which serves modern Indian cooking, held a charity night recently for Sarva, which helps the forgotten in India and Nepal.

Raising £750, the evening was attended by over 50 people, the event saw a traditional Indian dancer taking to the floor while live sitar and tabla music provided the accompanying music.

Indian street food was served during the evening with dishes ranging from potato bonda with buttermilk to adrakki tikki with saffron riatta and tamarind chutney.

The money raised will allow two adults to be trained in nursing for a year or 15 children to be put through school for a year.
