With almost the whole of the cabinet and a host of MPs and dignitaries from Birmingham’s business community, Broad Street’s Shimla Pinks was the place to be seen in recently.Over 4000 guests, including Harriott Harman, Deputy Labour Leader and Party Chairman, Jacqui Smith, Home Secretary, Jack Straw, Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary, Ed Milliband, Cabinet Secretary and Shimla Pinks owner M.S. Kholi, were invited by Keith Vaz MP, who was hosting the Diversity Nite event, recognising the huge contribution ethnic minority communities have made to Britain, at the end of the Labour Party Spring Conference, in Birmingham. Several short speeches made by those present, were followed by dinner and refreshment, with dancing going on into the early hours of the morning.
