Quilon’s star still shining bright

South Indian restaurant Quilon, based in the heart of London’s Westminster, has retained its Michelin star for the fifth year in the 2012 Michelin Guide to Great Britain and Ireland.

First awarded a Michelin star in the 2008 guide, Quilon, owned by the Taj Group, became the first restaurant serving south-west Indian cuisine to be bestowed with the accolade, and remains the only Michelin starred south Indian restaurant in the world.

Executive chef Sriram Aylur said, “Myself and the team are truly delighted. A Michelin star is the ultimate recognition and to retain our star for a fifth year reflects all of our hard work. This pays tribute to the team who have worked incredibly hard to maintain exceptional standards at every service.”
