Cinnamon Club Diwali Banquet raises £25,000
Westminster’s Cinnamon Club was the location for a gathering of some of London’s top chefs that had come together for a fundraising Diwali banquet in aid of Action Against Hunger.
National Eating Out Week returns November 20-26, celebrating British culinary diversity with a series of nationwide events and in the process raising money for those less fortunate.
These include the Customer Restaurant of the Year competition – where diners all over Britain get to vote for their favourite restaurant – and the Take the Plate Pledge, where a restaurant makes a donation every time a special dish on its menu is ordered.
There is also a Best Signature Dish completion, where restaurants enter recipes and photos of their hallmark starter, main or dessert. All money raised goes to the Curry Tree charity.
